Building the bridge between the natural and modern world.

My name is Graeme Facteau, I am a recent graduate of the Maine College of Art & Design with a bachelors In Woodworking and Furniture design. I'm from a little town tucked away in the New Hampshire woods called Contoocook. My work is my way of expressing my relationship with nature and my attempt to integrate it into our artificial world. My design focuses on the revitalization of art nouveau stylizations and the philosophy of integrating the elements of nature into furniture. What separates me from other Nouveau artists are my sources of inspiration: insects, exoskeletons, and the fractal patterns of roots. These forms take otherwise ordinary furniture objects and give them a sense of life. My other great furniture love is that of mid-century design. It is simple, yet full of character and vibrance. It is a design style that embodies hope for a brighter future. Warm and hopeful. These are the elements I want to bring to your home.
